April prayer requests from our ministries and partners

Right from when Bill and Vonette Bright began Campus Crusade for Christ in 1951, prayer was an essential part of their work. Power to Change continues to believe in the power of prayer, which is why each month we’re presenting prayer requests from all of our ministries and partners.

Please be in prayer for our staff and volunteers, as well as the people they serve and minister to, as we help people know Jesus and experience His power to change the world.

Athletes in Action

Preparation for National Training Camp (NTC) begins in the first week of May. Pray for this event to reach deeply into each participant and for them to see how they can be a multiplying disciple.

Summer kids camps are approaching. Please pray for each province, church, and partner organization that we will serve.

Please be in prayer for student athletes as they enter into exam season and wrap up the school year.

Christian Embassy

Praise God for diplomats and parliamentarians who are sharing their faith with their colleagues!

Please pray for God to draw leaders to hImself through the May 16 outreach with Abdu Murray on “Debate without Hate: discussing our differences while valuing each other.”

Please pray for wisdom and God’s strategies for parliamentary leaders as they seek to share and have God’s principles considered in law-making. Also pray for God’s hand in the ongoing Conservative and NDP leadership races.

Connecting Streams

Pray for each of our teams in Langley, Edmonton, and Ottawa and they have been strategically planning for the next year of ministry. Please pray for the final details and plans to come together and for the Lord’s will to be accomplished.

Please continue to pray that God would raise up a City Leader for our team in Edmonton.

DRIME

Praise God! More than 100 people accepted Christ through DRIME teams in March. Pray that they will grow in their faith and that God would continue to give strength to our teams.

Pray for DRIME Montréal who are in their final stretch of recruiting before they start their first ministry season in May.

FamilyLife Canada

Pray for the personal ministries of our staff. Some host events in their churches or homes, some mentor couples, and others lead marriage or parenting groups and classes. Pray that their work would be fruitful and meaningful as they bring help and hope to marriages and families from coast to coast.

Pray for wisdom and discernment as we plan Break Forth Canada 2018 and for God to draw together the speakers, volunteers, and attendees, as we walk out his plan.

Global Aid Network (GAiN)

Pray for all our teams in the field. Also, pray for wisdom for all our partners, as they all work in difficult areas and are away from their families for long periods of time.

Pray that, though our teams face obstacles that hinder their work, God would strengthen them to continue to demonstrate God’s love, in word and deed, to hurting and needy people.

JESUS Film Church Planting Strategy (JFCPS)

As JFCPS is currently without a Director, pray that God would be working in the hearts and minds of the right people. Also, pray that a seed would be planted, that the right person or couple would be found to take on that role.

LeaderImpact

We have six events — Forums and Group Forums — taking place in April. Pray that marketplace leaders will be impacted by what they hear at these forums and will be interested in attending a group in their city.

Pray that marketplace leaders everywhere would experience the relevance of God in their professional and personal lives.

Digital Strategies

Please continue to pray for wisdom and insight for our Tech team, as they tackle remaining essentials in transitioning between old and new mentoring software.  This is a mammoth task and takes painstaking attention to detail.

Thank you for praying for more people to engage with our content! We did see an increase in traffic over the past month, and we pray that this, and the number of mentoring conversations, would continue to increase.

P2C – Students

April is the last month of school for most post-secondary students. Earnestly pray for students to discover Jesus this month across Canada. Ask God to reveal himself to many students as we finish up the school year.

Pray for the 180+ students and staff preparing for P2C-Students’ summer mission trips to five locations. Ask God to provide every dollar of financial support required and to prepare each participant’s heart for their mission work.

WHEN

April is a busy season for WHEN, with 4 brunch events. Our Intercultural Team in Vancouver hosted their event on April 1st. 76 women came to the event. Please pray for those who came to faith or want to know more about Jesus, that there would be nothing that stands in the way as they attend follow-up Bible studies.

Our Intercultural Team in Surrey will be hosting their event April 8th and our Filipino Team in Edmonton will host theirs on April 22nd. Please be praying for the teams as they prepare for the events, and also for the women who come as guests. Please pray that hearts will be softened and that they will respond to the gospel.

Our newest team is a Spanish speaking team in North Vancouver. They will host their first event on April 29th. Please pray for this new team as they gather women together to hear the good news!
