Following an extensive and thorough search process, I am delighted to announce on behalf of the P2C Board, the unanimous decision to appoint Mr. Darren Young as the new President of Power to Change.

Darren has a passion for the gospel and a great love for the ministry of P2C. Not only is he an alumnus from the P2C Student Ministry at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver (1993-1998), Darren led the P2C Staff Development and Human Resources teams, along with the P2C Finance team from 1998-2006. This is the first time a new P2C President has been elected from within our family of ministries and we celebrate this today.

Darren served as the Lead Pastor for Town and Field Church in Langley B.C. for thirteen years. More recently he has been involved in working with Church leadership across North America. Darren currently serves as President of Executive Leadership Solutions, where he has pioneered the launch of a premier leadership collaborative for large and leading churches.

Darren and his wife Wendy currently live in Langley, B.C., and are blessed with two teenage sons; Taylor (18) and Matthew (17) who bring much joy to their lives. Together, they are united as a family in their ministry.

Darren is excited to be rejoining P2C for this next season. His desire is to come alongside our teams and ministries and help us all reach Canada with the fullness of the person of Jesus.

We are grateful for God’s leading and provision throughout this process and are very grateful to you, for your ongoing commitment and support during this time of transition. I know you join me in welcoming Darren back to Power to Change and would ask for your continued prayers of encouragement as he steps into his new role on June 15th 2021.
