Michael connects with the football team at the University of Toronto and introduces them to Athletes in Action:
I wanted to do something big at the Univerisity of Toronto. In my first week on campus, I set up a meeting with the football team. I stepped out of my comfort zone. It was scary to go to the coach and ask if I could come in and share about Athletes in Action and what we had to offer them. When I talked about a personal relationship with Christ, they wanted to know more. It was very similar to what my situation had been growing up in a Catholic background. 28 of the football players filled out the comment cards indicating that they invited Christ into their heart. That’s the way it started at UofT. It was just awesome!
