How to Grow a Connected Family

The weekend starts off with a day-long, pre-conference workshop to dive deep into an area of spiritual growth and ministry.

Join Jim and Lynn Jackson, founders of Connected Families and co-authors of How to Grow a Connected Family, to learn a framework of four timeless Biblical principles for building strong relationships and anchoring your family in God’s grace and truth.

Late Night Comedy Show

After the Opening Assembly, worshiping with Hillsong and listening to Albert Tate, enjoy the evening at a comedy show with Matt Falk and Bob Stromberg. Both comedians will surely send you home for the evening with a smile on your face, refreshed for the next day of classes.

Class B:  The Five Signs of a Healthy Family

After lunch, head on over to your second class of the conference. Dr. Gary Chapman, author of The 5 Love Languages, offers valuable insight into the five signs of a healthy family. You will discover not only the characteristics of a healthy family, but practical ideas on how to build one.

Class C:  Godly Parents & Prodigals

Spend some time with Ron Hunter, executive director and CEO of Randall House and co-founder of the D6 Conference, where the story of the prodigal son will gain new meaning. Learn how to reach loved ones who have strayed away from the church, welcome them back, and restore broken relationships.

Class D:  When Digital Porn Hits Home

Start the morning with another great class! Brian Housman, president of 360 Family and author of Tech Savvy Parent, explains how social media and digital resources have changed the traditional relationship norms of teens. Brian teaches parents how to effectively respond with grace and understanding, and how to create appropriate boundaries for the family.

Class E: Getting Inside the Head of Generation Z

Gather some great notes and parenting insights in the last class of the weekend. Technology is constantly changing and affecting how we live. Randy and Donna Carter, founders of Straight Talk Ministries, will explore adolescent brain development and how their use of technology is hitting where it hurts most: their relationships.

Check out other classes in the Class E timeslot.

Main Assembly: Closing Ceremony

Cap off the weekend in worship with other Break Forth One attendees! Mark Clark will share his experiences from planting and growing a church, writing books and more (did you know, he is also a parent?)! You can implement the new skills and ideas you learned at Break Forth One into your own family, fostering closer relationships with each other and with God.
