Have you ever wondered what it’s like to go on a mission trip with Power to Change – Students?

 

Your experience might look something like this:

At the beginning, you may feel unsure and you’ll have lots of questions: Am I ready? Will this make a difference? Will God provide? Should I go? Where should I go? How do I tell my parents?

 

1. You take a step of faith & apply.

There will be that critical moment when you realize that God is bigger than all of your doubts and questions. You take a step of faith and submit your mission trip application. This is your first step into the adventure of a lifetime!

 

2. You trust God to raise your support.

At first it seems impossible, but you trust God to do the incredible as you invite friends and family to partner with you on this journey with their prayers and financial support. You see God provide and your anticipation grows. What surprises does God have in store?

 

3. You meet your team at the Summer Missions Launch.

You made it! You arrive at the annual Summer Missions Launch along with hundreds of other students from across Canada. You meet your team for the first time. You don’t know it yet, but these people will become like family over the next few weeks and some will become lifelong friends.

 

4. And you’re off!

You take your first steps onto the plane, and your excitement bubbles as it transports you to a new world… or is that just the airline food?  

 

5. You experience a new culture.

Absorbed into a new culture, your love and appreciation for the local people grows and the way you see the world changes forever.

 

6. You introduce new friends to Jesus.

You share the gospel with new friends. Your understanding that the Good News is not just a matter of words deepens. The gospel has the power to profoundly transform lives.

 

7. Your relationship with God grows.

Daily you walk in the step with the Spirit and you are forever changed. Your relationship with God has grown, and changed over these few short weeks.

 

8. Your view of people is changed.

Your heart has been ignited for the peoples of the world to know Jesus. You begin thinking about your friends and family back home…

 

9. You can’t believe it’s almost over.

Global Missions

You are not ready for life-changing trip to be over. How has it gone so quickly?

 

10. You understand God’s heart and are forever changed.

Looking back on your mission trip experience you realize that it wasn’t about you all along. It was about God’s kingdom work. You look ahead to ways you can embrace God’s generous invitation to join him in his work wherever you are!
