Sean joined Power to Change in 2000 and began working as a local campus staff at the University of Waterloo. Since 2000, Sean has served at many levels within the student ministry and has had the great privilege seeing his life multiplied many times over. Sean recalls what happened when he made the decision to pursue full-time ministry while attending a Student Winter Conference.
“I clearly remember the burning in my legs as I stood to indicate my desire to commit my whole life to helping fulfil the Great Commission. I had been challenged, and the conviction in my heart led me to stand, overcoming the fear that gripped my legs and the feeling that I was placing my future into the uncertainty of surrender. In that moment of surrender, I started a journey that would lead to the realization that God was calling me to full-time ministry. Daily I had been praying for labourers to be raised up from my campus to go into the harvest field. Now it seemed that God was answering my prayer by calling me into the harvest field. What started with a small act of obedience lead to the understanding that I wanted to invest my life in a way that would have a multiplying impact for eternity.”
Currently Sean serves as the National Director of Power to Change – Students, leading P2C on its mission to help students discover Jesus and mobilizing the organization focus and increase capacity for the task at hand: to be able to see the day when not one of the 2.5 millions students in Canada graduates without engaging in the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
Sean is married to Nancy and they have 5 children! They live in Edmonton, Alberta.
