REMINDER: Today at 6 PM @ Presbyterian College is our next CRU meeting! We will be discussing about ‘The Dark Side of Christianity: Engaging the Darkness in Order to Move Towards the Light’. Here is a preview:
Is Christianity good for the world or the cause of much of its sorrow? Does becoming a Christian lead us further into health and growth, or is it an obstacle to overcome on the way to becoming our true selves?
Some would argue the fact that Christianity has a dark side. But how do we do something about it? Rather than become defensive of Christianity’s bright side or become full-time critics of Christianity’s darkness, a more honest and constructive way forward is available to us.
This event will feature opportunities for open-ended small-group discussion, to enable us to engage with subjects that are on our heart and discuss them with our peers.
We can’t get rid of the darkness in our own lives, much less in the world, by pretending it isn’t there. We need to get real about our brokenness. That’s how the light will find its way in.
