Going on a mission trip was life-changing for me. When I was there I was just saturated in God, knowing him and worshipping him. The gospel has changed me. It’s a privilege to be a part of what God is doing.

Why go to Eastern Europe with GAiN?
Global Aid Network (GAiN) is the humanitarian partner of Power to Change. GAiN exists to reveal hope by sharing God’s unconditional love and restoring life. They do this by demonstrating the gospel through compassionate action to those living in poverty, injustice, and crisis around the world.
With eleven resource offices worldwide, GAiN has a deep history of ministering to those in need due to crisis and calamity, whether natural or man-made. Due to recent conflicts in Eastern Europe, we have seen people displaced from their homes, and driven to new areas where they need to rebuild their lives. Communities who are already in need are faithfully opening their doors to welcome those who have lost or fled their homes. Through trusted local partners, GAiN is able to share the love of Christ both in word and in practical action in these communities.
This summer, you have the opportunity to join GAiN Canada, GAiN Germany, and our local and church partners in Eastern Europe to both witness and take part in integral missions. Through humanitarian aid projects, you can help restore hope to people who have been affected by turmoil in our world.
Though the exact dates of this trip have not yet been set, we want to already invite you to join us this August in Eastern Europe.
What happens on the GAiN Eastern Europe mission trip?
Throughout this 12-14 day trip, you will come alongside local partners and churches, who are already faithfully engaging in ministry. You’ll contribute to ongoing projects, which might look like:
- Distributing food and non-food items to those facing generational poverty. These gift-in-kind items are provided by our GAiN worldwide network.
- Working on construction projects, alongside local partners and the local church.
- Spending time with local people who have lived under Soviet control, building relationships and learning together.
- Meeting people who have been displaced by conflict.
- Sharing your testimony and faith with those who do not yet know Christ and learning from fellow believers.
You might also:
- Learn about the effects of Russian/Soviet influence and how it affects the local culture.
- Gain professional insights, especially if you’re interested in culture, about the movement of people, and displacement.
3 things to highlight about GAiN Eastern Europe
Local partnerships: You’ll work through local partners to amplify their ministry, and to help them cultivate conversations and share the love of Christ, long after you return home.
Integral mission: You’ll experience “integral mission” where your social involvement has evangelistic consequences, as we bear witness to the transforming grace of Jesus Christ. You’ll help bring holistic transformation.
Mutual learning: As you serve, you’ll seek to understand and humbly learn from your team, our partners and those we hope to serve. You don’t need to have all the answers.
