The National Leadership Team of P2C-Students would like to take a moment to give an update on our progress on our agreed-upon publicized plan for addressing racism as a ministry. We committed over the next two years, in partnership with The Lenses Group, to provide development experiences for our staff in the area of intercultural competence, through Lenses Reframed experiences and conversation groups.
In the past two months, we have conducted five Lenses Reframed offerings that consisted of four days of training and processing time. So far, 106 staff from P2C-Students have participated in these trainings, including 93% of our supervisors and 70% of our staff.
While our staff will continue to grow and learn, we celebrate the important opportunity that these training and development sessions have given our staff to process issues and experiences around racism, ethnicity, culture, and power.
Additionally, in the last month, we have taken each supervisor in P2C-Students through the Intercultural Development Inventory. This includes the assessment, a coaching session on steps to grow in intercultural competency, and an action plan to practically work on intercultural competence.
Please continue to pray for us as we seek to address racism as a ministry.
Sincerely,
The National Leadership Team of P2C-Students (Andy Smits, Bonnie Van de Mosselaer, Charlotte Martin, Dan Sherman, Esther Wong, Graham Watt, Heather Campbell, and Josh Wong)
