Half the world is online.
As of today, that’s over three billion people. And they’re turning to the Internet for answers, for some kind of hope. They’re looking for people who understand and can offer love and support. So The Life Project helps them know Jesus. They start by telling compelling stories that get right at the need people are experiencing. Then they encourage people to talk to an online mentor.
The Life Project trains, encourages, and mobilizes a team of over 1,000 online mentors, and also helps churches across North America start their own mentoring ministry.
Because the world is online, that’s where The Life Project is too. They’re helping people know Jesus, one conversation at a time.
8 million visits to The Life Project websites.
91,000 messages were sent to mentors from people searching for help and answers online.
10,289 people made the decision to follow Christ.
1,100 mentors were engaged in sharing the gospel and 10 partner churches were equipped with their own mentoring ministry.

“The most rewarding thing is to have the opportunity to share the Good News every week with those to whom I would never have the opportunity otherwise. The ‘icing on the cake,’ of course, is when someone comes to know the Lord or gains a spiritual victory. Yesterday, I had a 14-year-old write, ‘This may seem stupid, but how do I become a Christian?’”
– an 80-year-old mentor
“When I first came to the site, I was hurting, but found encouragement. Right away I knew I wanted to be a part of God’s work here.”
– Winsome, director of The Life Project’s online chat ministry
