Ministry Overview
As the Strategy & Operations (S&O) Department within P2C-S, we empower missional communities within P2C-S to clearly define and collaboratively reach our goals by designing, building, and managing tools and systems.
Position Overview
The Senior Developer serves as a core technical leader within the Strategy and Operations team, responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining robust software systems, custom web tools, APIs, and data pipelines.
Primary Outcomes
In this role, you will be responsible to achieve the following objectives in concert with your team:
Software Architecture and Application Development: Architect, build, and deploy high-quality web applications, custom tools, APIs, and data integrations that streamline operations across P2C-S
Data Infrastructure and Pipeline Management: Collaborate with the Lead Data Storyteller to maintain Google Cloud Platform-based data infrastructure, SQL databases, and metrics collection pipelines that power executive and field leadership dashboards and other data products
System Monitoring and Reliability: Implement monitoring systems, automated testing, and clear documentation so that platform failures surface quickly and systems remain trusted and operational
Client-Centric Technical Service: Serve ministry staff as internal clients, maintaining an online service portal and high user satisfaction
Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical direction, code reviews, and mentorship to other developers, data product builders, and volunteers
Education and Experience
A degree in related field plus 2 years of office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with working on or deploying successful SQL and/or data related projects or apps
Cloud and data architecture experience with some combination of Google Cloud Platform or another cloud-based environment, databases, data warehousing and ETL pipelines
Proficiency in Git version control, AI-assisted development tools and experience working with other technical staff and volunteers
Required Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in general purpose programming languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL) and modern web/API development
Clear written and verbal communication ability to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders
A track record of self-directed learning, problem-solving, and a bias towards shipping practical, high-value tools over perfection
A heart to serve colleagues as valued clients and broader Power to Change partners
Other Responsibilities
Active participation in weekly chapel services and other ministry prayer / Bible study times.
Attendance and participation in the bi-annual International Day of Prayer.
Special projects as assigned by P2C-S Strategy and Operations National Director

This position requires Ministry Partner Development. The successful candidate will have the privilege to build a partnership team which provides financial and prayer support for the ministry. The financial support will cover the costs of the candidate’s salary and ministry expenses. Power to Change believes that Ministry Partner Development is biblical and God will provide everything necessary to fulfill the calling into ministry: finances, emotional strength and perseverance. Building a ministry partnership team is an integral part of being in ministry. There are many opportunities to bless and encourage the partnership team. Power to Change is committed to providing training and coaching that ensures success in Ministry Partner Development.
