About the Role

The AIA staff member is responsible for engaging AIA alumni who have experienced our ministry
first hand in the past. Our hope for this position is to build relationships with these people to
invite them to continue journeying with AIA. You will provide them with opportunities to be
involved where they can serve and experience Jesus at work. The most important aspect of this
role is relationship building but the secondary hope is that we can invite alumni to give to AIA.
Success in this role is establishing and strengthening relationships that lead to volunteers and
donors.

In this role, you will be responsible to achieve the following:

1. Alumni feel engage and connected with AIA for years following their graduation from post-secondary. 

  • Provide an opportunity to journey with those who want to re-engage with AIA
  • Provide opportunities to participate in different AIA events (overseas tours, NTC,
    Grey Cup, Camps/Clubs)
  •  Encourage their faith through sharing encouraging stories
  •  Recruit for key roles that AIA needs to fill

2. Work with the AIA donor development team to identify potential donors

  • Through building relationships with AIA alumni, you will identify those who have the interest and capacity to give financially
  • Implement alumni specific initiatives
  • Bring fresh alumni engagement ideas to the table in collaboration with the donor development team

3. Build strong working relationships with AIA staff to identify alumni to engage with

  • Ensure good communication with AIA divisional leaders so that alumni relationships are being stewarded well

Education and Experience (what is needed for the role):

  • You have a university degree or equivalent
  • You have experience with managing projects and juggling multiple priorities
  • You have experience with Athletes in Action and understand who we are (an asset but not necessary)
  • You have experience with Salesforce or other CRM (an asset but not necessary)
  • You will attend the P2C Staff Conference and the AIA Summit

Position Overview:

As a part of the AIA National Office staff team, the Administrative Assistant to the National Director
is a detail-oriented and solution-minded individual who will work closely with the National
Director of AIA. They will function in multiple administrative capacities, including calendar and
email management, reconciliation of expenses and travel arrangements, as well as some donor
interfacing duties. The Administrative Assistant ensures that the AIA National Director functions at
full leadership capacity, helping to move the AIA mission forward of helping people know Jesus.

In this role, you will be responsible to achieve the following:

1. AIA National Director can function at maximum capacity 

  • Tracking and reporting of expenses in accordance with P2C policies and best
    practices
  • Tracking and updating of donor records and opportunities within P2C donor
    database (Salesforce)
  • Calendar and email management and prioritization
  • Provide support and preparation assistance for key events, meeting, and speaking
    engagements

2. AIA national events are well supported

  • Support the Operations Team in planning and executing events of national scope
  • Support and augment donor invitation strategy for national-scope events

3. Special Projects are completed with excellence

  • Support and execution of special projects or assignments as required
  • May be required to provide administrative support during National Team meetings

Education and Experience:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • You have administrative experience in an autonomous role preferred
  • You have experience with Google Suite is an asset

All AIA Staff are responsible for aiding in the fulfillment of the mission and vision of Athletes in Action in their
respective spheres and beyond. Our hope is to see a world transformed by the gospel through sport and we
labour with God to see this happen.

During the campus season this role consists of helping those in varsity athletics discover Jesus, grow in their
faith, develop their unique potential and put their faith into action as they impact the world.

During the camp season this role consists of creating spaces for young children to hear and know Jesus
through the implementation of summer sport camps with partnering churches in the area. These sports
include soccer, basketball, volleyball and multi-sport . Through their position, coaches will engage with
athletes from the grassroots level, all the way to competitive athletes at the end of their high school careers.
Coaches will be expected to combat negative views of sport culture with the gospel, while inspiring churches
to reach their local community.

Primary Objectives:

1. Share the gospel and disciple to deeper maturity student athletes on their faith journey

  • In partnership with AthleteConnexion and working alongside your director, provide care for
    athletes through discipleship and evangelism opportunities.
  • Equip students to become spiritual leaders in training how to share their faith, identify gifts for
    kingdom impact and how to live out their Christian faith.
  • Assist with and attend National Training Camp, Retreat, and campus team meetings

2. Intentionally live out your faith and share your testimony to a variety of people

  • Apply age and skill appropriate teaching techniques for sport specific skills and physical
    literacy.
  • Work closely with the Regional Director, coaching team, church volunteers and additional AIA
    staff to ensure the children are cared for, the community is reached and the gospel shared.
  • Attend coach’s training, camp meetings and orientations.

3. Use your skills and abilities to help run a successful camp experience

  • Assist in organizing events to give more athletes an opportunity to hear about Jesus, become a
    part of AIA, or to make a decision to follow Jesus.
  • Assist in planning summer AIA Camps to help bring the gospel to children across the region.
  • Participate and present stories from ministry at both campus and camps team meetings

Education and Experience

  • You have bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • You have previous athletic interest or experience
  • You have experience in sharing your faith
  • You have previous coaching experience with Athletes in Action (preferred, not required)

  •  Completed a bachelor’s degree as a minimum – a master’s degree or higher is beneficial

National Operations Team Leader

  • Lead the National Operations Team to develop and implement a strategic plan and achieve objectives. Cast and implement vision, setting the direction of the Operations Team
  • Oversee Connecting Streams budget and finances, Salesforce, donor relations, and annual reports

  • Gather volunteer coordinators together on a regular basis to connect and support one another in their roles

Volunteer Process Manager

  • Oversee CS101 orientation curriculum and make any updates as needed for the ministry
  • Oversee national CS101 events online throughout the year as needed
  • Support local volunteer coordinators as they carry out CS101 orientation events on the ground
  • Process new volunteers for locations that do not have a city volunteer coordinator
  • If there is an active Connecting Streams team in the city in which they reside, the National Volunteer Coordinator will be involved in that city team through attendance at local CS events, team meetings, and to help represent CS where applicable.
  • Support local volunteer coordinators to ensure that annual statements are signed by volunteers and police check renewals are completed when required

The City Team Leader will assist in recruiting, developing, and leading a Connecting Streams ministry team in their city or area. They will ensure the development of ministry streams and help to engage and empower people to reach their city. They represent Connecting Streams and build partnerships with organizations and church leaders.

Responsibilities

Recruit and lead city or area team:

  • Recruitment of key leadership team
  • Ensure the development of ministry streams
  • Give overall leadership to the team: sharing vision, mentor and develop team, ensure recruitment and orientation of volunteers, lead a team to creatively extend the invitation to adventure to believers and host catalytic/training events and ministry development in their area

Represent Connecting Streams:

  • Initiate and cultivate connections and partnerships with leaders of churches and organizations to mobilize people for evangelism/discipleship
  • Speak, teach, and conduct workshops on mobilizing people for evangelism/discipleship/training
  • Articulate ministry vision and dream to other leaders

Position Overview

The Ottawa Prayer Igniter will work with local city staff and the National Prayer Igniter to foster a culture of prayer among staff and volunteers. They will work with others to facilitate prayer gatherings for the ministries of CS and to equip others to pray.

Primary Objectives:

Local Prayer Igniter:

  • Recruit and maintain a team of CS intercessors to pray intentionally for CS ministry in Ottawa
  • Revise and send out prayer requests from teams to intercessors weekly using the CS Database
  • Work with local staff and volunteers to plan and carry out weekly days of prayer and fasting
  • Work with other city staff to equip volunteers on how to pray and how to teach others to pray
  • Develop and maintain partnership with other local prayer ministries to pray for CS outreach in Ottawa
  • Connect with City Stream Leaders regularly to gain insights on prayer needs for their teams and share these with the intercessor team
  • Intentionally pray for your staff team and volunteers regularly

City Team Member:

  • Fully engage on the city staff team in strategic planning discernment and decision making for the city
  • Attend all local CS Training, Celebration and meeting events specific to prayer for CS

National Team Member

  • Work with the National Prayer Igniter to develop and implement a strategic plan for prayer and achieve objectives
  • Send general prayer requests for CS Ottawa ministry to the National Prayer Igniter on a regular basis
  • Work with other prayer staff to plan and facilitate CS Monthly Prayer call

Education and Experience

  • Experience in effectively leading others

The Content Strategist is responsible for overseeing all types of content for DS, ensuring consistency in all messaging.  This person will be heavily involved in content creation, deployment, and evaluation. This person will also provide leadership to a team that develops content in order to maximize discipleship and the evangelistic reach of DS’ websites (e.g. issuesiface.com, thelife.com).   • Work closely with Creative Director and Marketing Director to develop and implement content strategies.

  • Engage Christians online and encourage them to sign up to become volunteer online mentors.

The Chinese Digital Strategist/Mentor will be responsible for the mentoring and spiritual development of Chinese mentees who visit Digital Strategies’ Chinese-based websites. He/she will also work closely with the Director of Multicultural Ministries and other ethnic ministries to increase the efficacy and development of mentors, marketing, strategy, as well as a network of authors, translators and technicians for the Chinese sites.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible to achieve the following objectives:

  • Attend weekly Digital Strategies’ Engage team meetings and weekly national chapel times
  • Collaborate with other Canadian ethnic ministries within Digital Strategies

Accelerate the Chinese ministry (30%)

  • Meet with potential ministry partners for the Chinese Ministry

The Mentor Program Coordinator is responsible for equipping new mentors and Mentor Coaches (experienced online mentors who support mentors) with what they need to effectively disciple and support our online missionaries. He/she will manage the entry-point for all new mentors and Mentor Coaches, ensuring successful processing and training. Under the guidance of the Director of Mentor Recruitment & Development, he/she will be responsible for executing a strategy to engage and retain mentors. Primary Objectives:

Execute effective communication strategies to engage Mentor Coaches

  • Execute a communication strategy to encourage, equip and engage Mentor Coaches
  • Provide 500 Mentor Coaches with accountability and support on a monthly basis
  • Engage Mentor Coaches in the larger DS community
Successfully and efficiently onboard new mentors  
  • Work with Mentor Admins to assess and streamline current onboarding process for mentors
  • Ensure new mentors are assigned to a Mentor Coach

  • Pray for mentors.
  • Communicate to mentors the way we want them to communicate with mentees: expressing empathy & encouragement, asking questions & listening, offering hope, & typing out prayers for them.
  • Remind mentors, if needed, that the primary purpose of our ministry is to help people take the next steps on their spiritual journey; either on the way to knowing Christ personally or to walk more closely with Him.
  • Assist mentors in exploring various ways to address the next spiritual stage with the mentee and encourage the mentor to seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance in which approach they should use.
  • Help mentors encourage their mentees to gradually become multiplying disciples

Collaborer avec l’équipe du contenu afin de développer un contenu et une stratégie efficaces

Formation et expérience :

Collaborate with the Content Team to develop effective content and content strategy

  • Participate in monthly Content Strategy Meetings, coming prepared with ideas of content that the intern desires to write

Grow as a writer and content developer

  • Help write, edit, publish and promote daily devotionals and other content, such as newsletters and articles

Position Overview

As part of the Communications team, the Video Editor is responsible for helping people experience Jesus by creating inspiring and innovative videos that promote the vision and heart of DRIME, showcase different ministry events & fundraising efforts, are used for partner & donor engagement, and compliment our equipping resources. This role also includes project assistance and administrative help with various communications initiatives. 

Primary Objectives:

Video & Communications (75%)

  • Work with the Communications team to create ministry and promotional videos by organizing filming and editing
  • Work with the Equipping department to create drama & training videos and put resources online (drama creation, scripts & tutorials, etc.)
  • Help manage resources to enable the projects of Creative Communications that contribute to our vision and goals
  • Work on administrative and behind the scenes tasks that contribute to the execution and delivery of various projects
  • Work alongside other staff and volunteers at events, both in advance and on site

  • New staff are on boarded effectively both from an HR/operations perspective as well as receiving accurate orientation and welcome to their role at GAiN
  • Staff health and staff care are made priority through ongoing HR support and development initiatives 
  • Yearly GAiN staff retreat and team days are executed successfully 
  • Acting as the hiring manager for GAiN, recruiting and hiring is initiated in conjunction with Power to Change HR

The role of the Drilling and Technology Specialist is to ensure that our field partners have the appropriate level of support in drilling operations and procurement.  The Drilling and Technology Specialist provides valuable expertise and training on the efficient use of drilling equipment and best practices in drilling, while ensuring that drilling records are up-to-date and reviewed periodically.

Primary Outcomes

This role will be held accountable to achieve the following outcomes:

  1. Details of the WFLI Drilling Operations are well  managed  (40%)
  • Ensure equipment down-time is monitored and assessed through communication with the field and identification of issues, with emphasis on legacy drilling equipment (e.g. percussion rigs). Coordinate implementation of operational plans with drill teams.
  • Drilling data and statistics of wells are accounted for to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Data from field operations is analyzed and improvement opportunities are identified.

    2. Materials and supplies to the field arrive in a timely fashion to keep projects working smoothly (30%)

  • Forecast use and purchase supplies and equipment required by the WFLI teams in the field. This includes spare parts, reusable supplies and equipment such as vehicles.
  • Identify, engage and utilize the supplier network to ensure continuous rig operation.
  • Manage and update the equipment database to ensure that parts shipped from Canada, major repairs, and new equipment are entered into the system in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Monitor inventory levels of pumps, pipes and other supplies to ensure timely purchase and delivery, emphasis on Europe/Asia/Africa suppliers and legacy technology.

    3. Research, recommend and implement new equipment, systems and tools to safely and effectively improve the drilling process of the WFLI         (20%)

  • Develop local expertise through training of drill teams.  Develop technology sharing opportunities with experts in Africa, Asia and North America.
  • Identify and implement alternative drilling processes and technologies that could bring new efficiencies to the drilling operations.
  • Develop and pilot technical manuals with guidelines for drilling procedures, well development and material selection for well base and pump installation.
  • Develop and roll-out safety policies that ensure the well-being of field staff

     4. Field visits are conducted as needed, to ensure effective implementation of the program. (10%)

early-stage, small-scale startups so that they have dignified work, a stable living income
and a redemptive impact on society. This includes a stable and growing microfinance
program, a small business venture accelerator, vocational education and training. The
current programs are located in Paraguay and India, with plans to expand to other

GAiN is looking for a Program Coordinator to work in the Economic Empowerment core
strategy. Reporting to the Economic Empowerment Program Manager they will be part
of a small, but high performing team to research, develop and test out pilot projects and
continuously grow the Economic Empowerment program in partnership with our local
partners. The coordinator will also work cross functionally to ensure tasks are completed.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible to achieve the following objectives:

Program activities are implemented with effectiveness and efficiency (70%)
– Project activities are completed on time and within budget
– Monthly and quarterly reports from field partners are collected and analyzed
– Annual plans and budgets are set and managed along with the Economic
Empowerment Program Manager
– Novel economic empowerment projects for growth are developed in collaboration with

Productive relationships are forged with field partners (10%)

Position Overview:

The Water for Life Initiative (WFLI) is one of three key ministry focus areas for GAiN.  The WFLI combines the provision of deep-capped water wells, sanitation and hygiene programs, church engagement and a robust monitoring and evaluation program to reveal hope and restore lives to residents of communities in sub-saharan Africa.

The role of the Drilling and Technology Intern is to support our field partners in drilling operations and procurement.  The Drilling and Technology  Intern assists in developing field expertise on the efficient use of drilling equipment, while ensuring that drilling records are up-to-date and reviewed periodically.

Primary Outcomes

This role will be held accountable to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Data and analysis of the WFLI Drilling Operations is completed regularly  (50%)
    • Monitor equipment down time and assess equipment issues through communication with field teams. Coordinate implementation of operational plans with drill teams.
    • Quality-check and report drilling data and well statistics.
    • Analyze field operations data and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Materials and supplies to the field arrive in a timely fashion to keep projects working smoothly (30%)
    • Forecast use of (and purchase) supplies and equipment required by the WFLI teams in the field, which includes spare parts, reusable supplies and equipment such as vehicles.
    • Identify alternate suppliers for common drilling consumables.
    • Manage and update the equipment database to ensure that purchased parts, major repairs, and new equipment are entered into the system in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Monitor inventory levels of pumps, pipes and other supplies to ensure timely purchase and delivery to the field from local and International suppliers
  • Research, recommend and implement new equipment, systems and tools to safely and effectively improve the drilling process of the WFLI (10%)
    • Develop local expertise through organizing training for drill teams.
    • Identify and recommend alternative drilling processes and technologies that could bring new efficiencies to the drilling operations.
    • Update technical manuals with guidelines for drilling procedures, well development and material selection for well base and pump installation.
    • Develop and roll-out safety policies that ensure the well-being of field staff
  • Field visits are conducted as needed, to ensure effective implementation of the program. (10%)

Education & Experience:

  • Background or education in Equipment Maintenance, Engineering and/or data analysis
  • Previous experience in working with drilling equipment or other heavy equipment is considered an asset
  • Experience in a Relief and Development Ministry or other related ministry/industry experience in an international development setting is preferable

Position Overview

As a valued member of the Marketing & Operations Team, the Digital Engagement Coordinator will provide strategic oversight, training, project management and administrative support for online events and follow-up communications, empowering staff to lead with excellence and mobilize volunteers effectively towards strengthening the marriages and families of Canada.

In this role, you will be responsible to achieve the following objectives:

  • Manage digital events and video content projects, ensuring that deadlines are met, communication is crafted with excellence, teams’ gifts are utilized, problems are solved collaboratively and successes are celebrated.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of digital communications platforms and train staff teams to use them effectively.
  • Coach staff on best practices and recommended equipment for making videos from home.
  • Using WordPress and event management software, build registration and event info webpages for upcoming events.
  • Ensure that events are followed up by strategic evaluation (consisting of surveys, video stats, Google analytics, etc.) which is analyzed and acted upon in a timely manner, with an eye towards improvements and mobilization of volunteers.
  • Develop in depth skill and knowledge for using CRM software (currently using Hubspot) in order to equip staff to recruit and coach volunteers and to develop church partnerships effectively and with accurate record keeping.
  • Research and implement effective ways to monetize our digital offerings.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Director to leverage online events and content giveaways to increase newsletter subscriptions.

  • Ignite, coach, and support the development of LeaderImpact city teams in major centers within the region. As the Area Director, you will use the LeaderImpact ministry model to achieve this objective. The ministry package includes the:

Production of creative content and written materials

  • Alongside the Creative Communications team, the staff member is writing original, creative content for a variety of communication platforms and initiatives including – but not limited to – video scripts, blog articles, newsletters, special events content and advertisements, social media posts, and ministry resources for evangelism and discipleship.
  • Written material and content for donor reports, internal communications, conferences, etc are being completed with excellence and on time.
  • The Creative Communications team is able to produce relevant content for its various audiences, inviting people to participate in the ministry’s mission.

Strategy Planning & Campaign Creation

Position Overview

Our vision is to see every student walking closer to Jesus and experience life in him. As a member of the Strategy and Operations department, you will help Power to Change – Students achieve its vision by contributing to software, data management, and other organizationally significant projects. These projects support the work of other departments within P2C-Students including Development, Global Missions, Creative Communications, Campus Strategies, and Staff Development and Training.

Primary Objectives:

  • Aids in the design and construction of a primary database for P2C-Students that will help enable students to live on mission during and after their time in post-secondary education.
  • Aids in the development of a web and mobile application that will be used by staff and student leaders to manage local ministry information and help prospective students find Christian community.
  • Implements systems for collecting and interpreting metrics and surveys.
  • Develops and maintains websites and automated workflows.
Required Skills:
  • Experience with any of (but not limited to) the following languages is an asset: HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, SQL, Dart, Bash
 Education and Experience
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma that includes a computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences component is an asset.
  • Experience and involvement with Power to Change an asset.

Power to Change – Students (P2C-Students) desires for every student to walk closer to Jesus and experience life in him. Our mission is to help students take their next step towards Jesus.

Within the Strategy and Operations department, we help students take their next step towards Jesus by coordinating the strategic planning process of the ministry and creating and managing infrastructure to effectively and efficiently deliver ministry objectives.

Position Overview

The Strategy and Operations Specialist will be overseeing several administrative processes and important national initiatives that help accelerate and support helping students live on mission. This key role will help steward the resources and people we have more effectively resulting in increased impact.

Primary Objectives:

  1. Lead the ministry in effective use of our volunteer ministry database and other ministry participant facing tools
    • Onboard and train staff in required use of Engage Spaces
    • Support users as first contact by addressing bugs and negotiating feature requests with developers as needed
    • Guide ministry towards adoption of user facing tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness
    • Ensure effective rollout and use of our Strategic Planning Process in the various departments and local campus teams
  2. Manage our alumni initiative
    • Invite our alumni to an engaging community to help continue their faith growth they experienced as a student
    • Provide opportunities to participate in different cohort groups in partnership with other ministries of Power to Change, like LeaderImpact and FamilyLife
    • Build relationships with P2C-S alumni through regular communication and invitation to alumni specific events and opportunities
  3. Give leadership to effectively make use of Leading with Information (LWI) initiatives
    • Provide relevant and helpful metrics and data for the ministry
    • Train our staff and student leaders on how to use data from collected metrics to inform plans and strategic decisions
    • Maintain a metric dashboard that regularly informs stakeholders information that marks progress towards goals and outcomes

Other Responsibilities

  • Regular attendance and participation of weekly tactical team meetings
  • Familiarize and invest in relationships with other Operation colleagues within Power to Change, Canada and with our global Cru partners
  • Maintain a healthy MPD
  • Assist in initiatives as they come up within the Strategy and Operations team
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in online tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a remote team environment
  • Excellent asynchronous communication skills
  • Established administrative skill with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to synthesize, analyze and summarize information for useful decision making
 Education and Experience
  • 2+ years of operational capacity experience
  • Bachelor degree from a post secondary institution or equivalent

As an international intern you would be placed on a team with one of our overseas partnerships. You would come alongside long-term missionaries and local believers to help university students engage in the life-changing message of the gospel! This experience includes cross-cultural and contextualized ministry training prior to departure and throughout the year. International interns participate in language classes and seek to build friendships and integrate into the local campus community. Positions are available in various areas.
